Does it handle time-off and availability?
Yes. Technicians are available by default during business hours, and conflicts are subtracted — assigned jobs, time-off requests, unavailability blocks and recurring patterns. That is why the calendar reflects who can actually take a job rather than who is nominally rostered.
Do the techs need their own logins at extra cost?
They get the mobile app, and pricing is per business rather than per user, so putting the whole crew on it does not change the bill.
Can it track hours for payroll?
Time is captured against the job on site, including travel, and feeds both payroll and job costing. It works offline and syncs when the phone gets signal, which matters in basements and new builds.
